  • UPDATED - Debris Removal Plan for March 25th Tornado

April 9, 2015 (Moore, OK) - City of Moore sanitation staff will begin the final sweep through storm damaged neighborhoods on April 20th.

Residents who suffered damage during the March 25, 2015 tornado will have until April 19, 2015 to place items at the curb.

    Storm debris needs to be:

Moved to the edge of your curb
Do not cover your water meter
Separated (separate tree limbs from the rest of the debris; separate refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioning systems as well; refrigerator/freezer doors must be removed.)

Several passes have been made through the damaged areas and most residents have taken advantage of the debris removal services.

All storm debris must be at the curb by Sunday April 19th to be eligible for this free service from the City of Moore.

  • Sanitation Routes to change May 4th

Approximately 1,500 Moore residents will be taking their garbage to the curb on a different day starting May 4th. The affected areas include the Rock Creek Addition, parts of the Old Town area and neighborhoods along Tower Drive just south of 4th St. The changes are necessary because of population growth in areas of our city. • National Telecommunicator's Week

For the past several years, Public Safety Agencies nationwide have recognized the pivotal role played by telecommunicator’s, dispatchers, communications operators, ALL those people, by whatever job title, who utilize telephones, radios, computers and technical skill to provide support to Law Enforcement, Fire Services, Emergency Medical Services and other field personnel.

Each year, the second week of April is dedicated to the men and women who serve as public safety telecommunicator’s.  In 1991, Congress proclaimed it as a nationally recognized week of recognition.
