Sanitation Rules
- All household trash must be in a polycart. Trash, including grass clippings, must be bagged and placed inside a polycart for pick-up. Bagged trash set by the curb will not be picked up. Residents may request a second cart for an additional monthly fee of $7.00 by contacting customer service at 405-793-5032
- Polycarts must be at the curb before 7:00 am on your pickup day. Sanitation days are Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri. Sanitation may alter/delay routes as necessary therefore, there is no set time your trash will be collected on your designated day. If your polycart has not been emptied by late evening, please notify us or leave a message at 405-793-5070
- Four Holidays are observed during the year. New Years Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. If your trash day falls on one of the Holidays, place your cart out on Wednesday of that week
- Remove your cart from the street by end of day, typically trash will be picked up by 6pm
- Do not place your cart within 3 feet of any obstruction; multiple polycarts should be set at least 2 ft. apart
- Do not place your cart under any overhead obstruction
- Do not overfill or place items on top of the cart. The lid must be closed, and no items are to be sticking out
- Break down cardboard and place loosely in cart
- No automotive parts
- No petroleum products or hazardous chemicals
- No building materials (tile, bricks, boards, concrete, rocks, dirt, etc.)
- For large items, please call Public Works at 405-793-5070 and schedule a Big Trash pickup. This service is free twice per year. Also, vouchers to the landfill located at 7001 S. Bryant Ave. Oklahoma City, OK 73149 are available for pick up at Customer Service at Moore City Hall, 301 N. Broadway. Each City of Moore utility customer is allowed one free voucher per calendar year.
- Christmas Trees will be scheduled as a (Big Trash pickup) starting Friday, December 26 - January 16. You will not be charged for this service as long as you schedule with Public Works. You will not be able to have your tree picked up on your trash day. To schedule this free service, go to www.cityofmoore.com or call 405-793-5070.
- Christmas Trees can also be brought to the Public Works yard every Friday starting December 26 and continuing on January 2, January 9, and January 16. The address for Public Works is 512 NW 27th St.
